Say goodbye to mattress stains: this method will make it white again

Follow this guide to remove all stubborn stains from your mattress; it’s simple and you’ll only need one ingredient.

Stains on the mattress

Along with autumn and spring always comes a great desire for renewal and cleaning. Let’s start cleaning the whole house, leaving nothing out, not even a corner. It’s necessary to leave everything spotless, like new.  And not even mattresses  escape this cleaning session. Although sanitizing mattresses is extremely important for our health, it’s not a practice we repeat often enough. Inside mattresses, the perfect environment is created  for the proliferation of bacteria and dust mites  . Dust mites in mattresses can cause bothersome symptoms similar to allergy attacks: runny nose, frequent sneezing upon waking, dry cough at night, chest tightness, and asthma. Very bothersome and potentially dangerous symptoms.

With the method we’re about to show you, you’ll not only sanitize your mattresses by eliminating dust mites and bacteria, but  you’ll also remove even the most stubborn stains  . Mattresses stain very easily, and the causes can be varied, such as night sweats or other discomforts. These issues can lead to unsightly and unhygienic stains.  By following this simple method, they’ll all disappear in an instant! All you need is one ingredient.

Remove stains and disinfect your mattress this way

Yellow stains on mattresses are the most difficult to remove. These stains can sometimes appear on the mattress cover, in which case the solution is much simpler. If the stain is on the cover, simply wash it by hand or in the washing machine with the appropriate detergent. The problem arises when the stain is on the mattress itself, but for every problem there’s a solution, and this case is no exception. All you need to do is equip yourself with an ingredient you probably already have at home:  baking soda.  Baking soda is an extremely versatile product; it’s a great ally when it comes to cleaning the house, and there are dozens of ways to use it. Let’s look at the procedure.

Sodium bicarbonate

To remove stains from your mattress, pour baking soda directly onto the stain  until it’s covered  . After that, wait at least ten minutes and then use a  damp microfiber cloth  . With the damp cloth, gently rub the stain in circular motions. If you prefer, you can add a  drop of  mild or organic dish soap to the cloth; this will enhance the whitening effect. You’ll immediately notice the yellow stain disappearing quickly.  Let it dry completely  and then replace the mattress cover.

What if you don’t have baking soda at home?  A good alternative, another equally effective product for removing stubborn mattress stains, is  hydrogen peroxide  . Hydrogen peroxide can remove coffee stains, blood stains, and makeup stains. Almost anything!
